I've had many different types of beef jerky, but this one is by far the best in quality. It is far more expensive too, but given the quality of the beef, that's not surprising. It isn't heavily salted or flavored like typical jerky, though, so if that's what you're looking for, this is not for you. And it's not large portions either, so if you need something for your protein fix, look elsewhere. This is for the pure flavor and umami of Kobe beef.

In terms of flavour, nothing comes close to matching this jerky. It is flavoured by salt alone, so it's actually closer in texture and appearance to cured meats than typical beef jerky. But once you get used to its taste, it's hard going back to standard jerky. The biggest downside is the price, of course. Each packs contain only 20g of jerky, which is less than half of what you get from other companies, and the price is easily double most other jerkies, but in my opinion, the flavour makes up for all of that. At the end of the day, you just need to decide whether you want to pay this exorbitant amount for the flavour. (Not to mention the import fees, which for Canada were a *lot*!)
