Since I ordered and received this cake that I liked in my childhood, my wife, Franco-American, liked right away and declared it is hers.
So, I have to eat it clandestinely. For my wife, it is ordered every month.
Here, in France, they charge the Custom Duty at about 1600 Yen equivalent. But, we have no choice and I will keep on order it.
By the way, the topping was chocolate before? That is my memory of my childhood era.

It's been about 50 years since I left Japan. France lives in Alsace. Even though I wanted to eat this baumkuchen from Juheim, I couldn't get it and gave up, then by chance I found this site and placed an order, and it arrived. After all, it's delicious. When I fed it to my American-French wife, they liked it, and it was declared mine, and it was taken. Well, I'm stealing and hiding, but I need to reorder soon. Baumkuchen seems to have originated in the German Black Forest region on the opposite bank of the Rhine flowing through Alsace, and there is a baumkuchen there, but it's not similar even if it's similar to this Juchheim. Japanese people are happy.
